Chef Emily is back!

European inspired, locally crafted.  This was the mantra that Chef Emily Grable (now Emily Welk) bestowed upon the business of Hazel & Rye Artisan Baking Company.  Although we have been thriving as a downtown Canton fixture as an urban eatery, our roots are with baking and specifically with the mashup and blend of traditional French/Euro pastries, breads, and desserts. 

Chef Emily is an inspiration and visionary of making the extra-ordinary possible in everyday life.  The mantra bestowed upon Hazel & Rye Artisan Baking Company from the beginning is now beginning to take on new life and we are excited to share that Chef Emily is back working at Hazel & Rye.  

Hazel & Rye is a family run business formed in early spring 2015 by Chef Emily and her dad Mike Moegling. Cindy Moegling and Emily's twin sister Elizabeth Moegling have been part of the leadership and management of the business and are a big part of the culinary tradition of Hazel & Rye.  If you have ever been to either the former North Canton location or our current downtown Canton location, you were more than likely served by or enjoyed something by one of the family.

We are excited and poised for the future and thankful to have Chef Emily back on board.  What is in store for us next?  Watch this space as we bring "European Inspired, Locally Crafted" to you.
